Equality: It's a simple concept and a noble idea; but what is it? How is it possible to make all people equal? Should equality be applied to how much money each of us has? Is it wrong to have an unequal distribution of wealth? How about power? Do we really have an equal say in the way leaders are chosen? Is there real equality when it comes to voting? We are certainly told that there is - in fact it's almost never even questioned.

Well, here at the Fair Choice Party we believe that there is no equality in wealth, and nor should there be! There is no equality in voting power either, and again nor should there be! But wait - where the FCP is completely original is that we want to separate the two and concentrate power in the hands of the less privileged. How? By scaling vote sizes so that the poorer you are the larger your vote!

Equality can exist, but only if we provide a Fair Choice. Some people will choose mostly wealth and insulation, some will choose larger votes and participation; but the equality that we seek will never exist when there are a few ruling elite with both, and the remaining silent underclass majority of us with neither.

It's simply folly to think that we can continue to breed discontent and disparity and oppression forever. It's time that we find a way for all of us to take responsibility for what we do and don't have. It's time to try balance for a change.
